Rotherham United snap up Ipswich Town striker on loan

Rotherham United have signed Kieffer Moore on loan from Ipswich Town for the season as confirmed by the club website.

Moore hasn’t been at Ipswich for long as he only signed for them back in the January transfer window this year, joining the club from recently promoted Forest Green Rovers for a fee of £10K. He wouldn’t become a regular for the Tractor Boys though has he would only make 11 appearances for the club and as he is looking to play regular football next season, he has been loaned out to Rotherham for the season.

The Millers lost their star striker this summer with Danny Ward moving to Cardiff City following their relegation to Sky Bet League One. They have been searching for a replacement and have already got Jamie Proctor from Bolton Wanderers and David Ball from Fleetwood Town to serve as potential replacements but now they have another forward who will give it his all to match the form of Ward last season. Moore does know the league after having spells with Yeovil Town and will be hoping to fire Rotherham back into the Sky Bet Championship.

Moore started his career at Truro City before moving onto Dorchester Town. It was his form for them which earned him a move into the EFL as Yeovil would sign him and he’d stay at Huish Park for two years before moving onto Norwegian club Viking. After his short spell with them, he would return to England to play for Forest Green which paved the way for him to sign for Ipswich.
