Sky Bet Championship club Bristol City made the perfect start to their pre-season schedule with a thumping 11-0 victory over non-league outfit Bristol Manor Farm on Sunday afternoon.

Freddie Hinds, Eros Pisano, Bobby Reid, Josh Brownhill and Joe Morrell all netted in the first half while the onslaught continued in the second period as Callum O’Dowda, Diego De Girolamo and Shawn McCoulsky all scored braces on a dominant afternoon for The Robins.

Non-league outfit Bristol Manor Farm offered very little in the way of competition for their Sky Bet Championship opponents with Lee Johnson’s side racing into a three-goal lead within 15 minutes of the first whistle. The Robins netted two further goals either side of the half hour mark to ensure that they reached the half-time interval with a 5-0 advantage.

The second half saw Robins boss Johnson field an entirely different starting XI but the pressure did not recede upon the home side as the goals continued to flow with O’Dowda, De Girolamo and McCoulsky all netting twice.

A sell-out crowd of 1,417 attended the pre-season friendly match at The Creek with the proceeds from the match going towards funding for the Community Trust and to improve the facilities of Bristol Manor Farm’s home ground.
