Lewie Coyle is one of those players who has come up through the Leeds United youth system and who is highly thought of at Elland Road. He has first team experience with the Whites, but is spending this season out on loan at Fleetwood Town.
When the loan deal was announced, the feeling amongst Leeds United fans was that the Cod Army had gotten themselves a great player who many think will do very well in League One next season for Fleetwood Town.
Like his predecessor Charlie Taylor before him, Coyle has ended up at the north-west club with Leeds fans wanting Fleetwood to not only look after him but bring him on in a similar way that they did with Taylor.
He’s certainly started well enough, scoring the following goal in a friendly against Scottish side Queen of the South. His performance and début goal caught not only the eyes of manager Uwe Rosler but also the eager band of Leeds fans on social media.

Speaking of the goal and Coyle’s contribution, Fleetwood Town boss Rosler said: “One wing-back crossed the ball and another wing-back scored the goal; from wing-back to wing-back, that is how we want to play.
“Coyley is a player who has the phsyicality and the knowledge and toughness to do that over the whole season.”
It wasn’t only Rosler who wanted to congratulate the young full-back, Leeds fans were also quick to join in too.
