Ekuban, Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen to meet with African star

Leeds United boss Thomas Christiansen to meet with African star

Leeds United target, Caleb Ekuban, is set to fly to Elland Road to meet with first team manager, Thomas Christiansen, according to Italian news outlet TMW.

The 23-year-old returned to his parent club, Chievo Verona in Italy, following his spell successful spell in Albania. But it doesn’t look like his future is with the Italian top division side. It’s been reported the young attacker will now fly to England to meet with Thomas Christiansen. If all goes well Ekuban could sign for the Yorkshire club very soon.

Leeds have been linked with many players ever since Thomas Christiansen arrived at Elland Road. But it looks like Leeds have some competition for the young attacker, as Christiansen’s former club APOEL as they are also very interested in him.

Andrea Radrizzani has given Leeds United and their fans a massive boost since he took over from Massimo Cellino. But with the transfers going into Elland Road having dried up a bit recently, Leeds United fans will be eager for Andrea Radrizzani to get this one over the line.

Caleb Ekuban’s previous season

Last season Caleb Ekuban was on-loan at Albanian club FK Partizani where he played 42 games and scored 18 goals in that time. He also assisted his teammates on five occasions. He didn’t just play domestic games for the Albanian club. He also played in Europe. He played four matches in the Champions League qualifiers and two games in the Europa League qualifiers.
