Legzdins moves to Orient

Adam Legzdins has secured a move to League one Leyton Orient on a free transfer from Derby County. Legzdins has signed a 2 year contract with the London club, who narrowly missed out on a place in the Championship after losing in the Play Off Final to Rotherham United at the end of the season. Legzdins played the majority of the 2012/13 season before losing the ‘first choice’ privileges to teammate Lee Grant.

York City snap up Straker

Former Southend winger Anthony Straker has signed a 2 year deal with York City, who missed out on promotion from League Two last season narrowly. Straker is the Minstermen’s fifth signing of the season after he ran down the remainder of his contract at Roots Hall. Straker told the club’s official website, “It’s a great chance for me to start a new chapter and I couldn’t turn it down.” He went on to say, “I hope to show people what I am capable of doing, using my pace and getting at defenders and hopefully doing well.”
