Bailey Wright (Centre Back, Preston North End & Australia)
At 21 Bailey Wright is the youngest member of The72’s outfield squad and a promising prospect in the centre of defence who is constantly monitored by clubs in higher divisions. Since 2010 Wright has made over 100 appearances for Preston North End predominately in League One.
What impact will he have in the World Cup?
Bailey Wright has never made a first team appearance for the Socceroo’s. Being involved in the squad will be a massive learning curve for the youngster and set him up nicely for future international tournaments. If called upon as back up you may argue Wright being so young, will not be afraid of what he may be facing. However on the other hand inexperience could prove costly in a Group with Spain, Netherlands and Chile.
