Bradford City sign Jake Reeves

Bradford City’s official Twitter account has just confirmed the signing of Jake Reeves from AFC Wimbledon on an three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

The young midfielder began his career at Tottenham Hotspur before then finishing it at Brentford. The central midfielder signed professional terms with the Bees and made 34 appearances for the club in four seasons.

During his time at Brentford, Reeves went on loan to St Albans City where he featured twice and AFC Wimbledon where he appeared on five occasions.

The midfielder went on to sign for Swindon Town in 2014 until January 2015, making 10 appearances for the club and scoring once.

Reeves went on to sign for AFC Wimbledon in January 2015 and has since made 109 appearances for the club scoring on four occasions.

The five-foot-eight playmaker is an attacking midfielder and would fit perfectly into the Bantams side. With the departure of Josh Cullen from the club, Bradford City have needed to sign a new central midfielder and Reeves is a perfect signing for the club.

Reeves has become Bradford City’s 7th signing of the summer after the arrival of Callum Gunner, Omari Patrick, Tyrell Robinson, Adam Chicksen, Paul Taylor and most recently Dominic Poleon.

The 24-year-old now has the opportunity to assert his place in the heart of the Bantams midfield alongside either Romain Vincelot or Timothee Dieng, if Stuart McCall chooses to play Vincelot at centre-back rather than in central midfield.
