Champions League giants considering Aston Villa defender

Champions League giants Paris Saint-Germain are seriously considering a bid for Aston Villa’s Jordan Amavi, according to L’Equipe in France.

The young French defender has been given the chance to leave after falling behind Neil Taylor in the ranks at Aston Villa. The France under 21 player is attracting much interest from many top clubs around Europe. PSG are looking for a replacement for Maxwell and seem to be the most interested in Jordan Amavi out of all the top clubs.

PSG’s first-choice signing is Borriusia Dortmund’s Raphael Guerreiro but if they fail to get him their next choice is Aston Villa’s young left-back Jordan Amavi. The Frenchman has also gained much interest from the likes of Spanish club Sevilla and Italian side Sampdoria. Amavi has ambitions to play for Europes Elite and is hoping his chance will come this summer.

No figure for the player has really been talked about as talks between the clubs haven’t been made yet. Although it has emerged that if he was to leave, Aston Villa would like at least £9m which is what they paid Nice back in 2015.

Jordan Amavi’s Career Stats

While at French club Nice he made 60 appearances. In those 60 appearances, he scored four goals but failed to pick up any assists. In 2015 he moved to Aston Villa for £9m. Amavi has made 48 appearances in since his move to Villa Park. While at Villa he’s failed to find the net at all but he has set up four goals.

Where he will end up next is unclear but what is clear is that many top European clubs are interested and it’s highly unlikely he’ll still be a Villa player come September 1st.
