Rumour Mill: Norwich join Grabban race, Hooper future in doubt and Wolves still fight for Blades youngster

Norwich join pursuit to Grab-an Bournemouth striker

With clubs such as Middlesbrough and Cardiff already interested, Norwich City have now joined the race to snap up Bournemouth striker Lewis Grabban, Sky Sources understand. Grabban, who scored 22 goals last season for the Cherries has already attracted attention, but now it seems recently relegated Norwich City want his signature. Cardiff City have already met the release clause in the 26 year old’s contract, but with the recent signing of Adam Le Fondre from Reading, Norwich could be ready to pounce.

Hoopers future up in the air

Gary Hooper’s future at Norwich seems to be indecisive. Reports over the past days and weeks have suggested that Hooper has handed a transfer request in. However, manager Neil Adams has played down these claims saying to the Pink ‘Un, “There’s been no transfer request from Gary Hooper”. With clubs such as Aston Villa and Crystal Palace all thought to be ready to pounce for the 26 year old.

Wolves fight for Maguire

Wolves have had a second bid turned down by Sheffield United as they look to grasp the services of highly-rated centre half Harry Maguire. The 2013/14 League One Champions were thought to have made a second bid for the 21 year old in the region of £1.5 million plus add-ons, but the Blades refuse to budge. In an interview, United’s Managing Director, Mal Brannigan, stated, “We’ve had one or two bids that have been rejected so far for Harry. […] It’s very much in his interests to extend his contract which we’d like him to do and there’s an offer on the table for him.”
