Bradford City have made an offer worth £150K for AFC Wimbledon’s Jake Reeves according to a report from the Daily Mail.
The 24-year-old midfielder joined Wimbledon back in 2015, his second spell at the club after a loan spell in the previous year, and would become a key player for the Dons when they got promoted from Sky Bet League Two. He has continued to be a regular for the side now that they are in Sky Bet League One but his performances have been noted by one of Wimbledon’s division rivals as they have now made an approach for him.
Bradford came close to returning to the Sky Bet Championship last season when they reached the play-off final only to suffer a crushing disappointment when they once again lost to Millwall, just like had done the previous year. Their head coach Stuart McCall is keen to make sure that they actually go the distance this time around and is looking to sign the players who will make sure that this year is the time they finally get promoted.
And so they have made an approach for Reeves and have made an offer worth £150K in an attempt to sign him. The Bantams have been impressed with the way the 24-year-old midfielder has made the jump up to League One and with him knowing how to get through the play-offs having done that with Wimbledon. Now the Dons will have to decide whether or not £150K is enough money to sell Reeves for.
