In a nutshell, Charlie Taylor’s future is definitely NOT at Elland Road and Leeds United. His refusal to play against Wigan in Leeds’ last game of the season saw to that.
There were grumblings from Taylor ahead of last season that he was wanting to leave and seek his footballing fortunes in the Premier League, with Taylor handing in a transfer request after the final pre-season game against Atalanta. This request was dismissed by the club, with Garry Monk sticking to his promise that, if Taylor remained fit, he would be available for selection for the Whites.
What kept him out of the starting line-up in the run-in to the season’s end was an Achilles injury as well as the solid form of Gaetano Berardi, his injury replacement. Talk was that he would refuse a contract from Leeds United, sparking a transfer scramble for his services. No one thought that he would refuse to play as well.
Premier League sides West Brom and Burnley were said to be interested in taking the highly thought of left-back from Leeds to England’s top-tier completion. However, with Taylor having spent his whole career at Elland Road, and due to his age, both were said wary of the fee that could be imposed by an independent transfer tribunal.
However, according to Sun journalist Alan Nixon over on his Twitter feed, Celtic are the latest side to show piqued interest in Taylor, saying that they could get their man for a “small fee.”
This news caused something of a stir on the post, with Leeds fans questioning the move by the Bhoys.
£5m+, not really a “small fee”, to be fair.

Other fans struggle to see the logic in Celtic’s ‘chasing’ of the Leeds United starlet.
Seems an odd move don't they have Tierney at left back who looks promising ? Would he get the games.

Not this Leeds fan who seems happy at the thought of Taylor going north of the border.
That would make my day if he ended up in Scotland lol

This exchange clarifies what Alan Nixon says above – crossing borders and associations negates the need for a decision-led tribunal.
That’s only for English clubs, clubs outside of England don’t have to pay it that’s why Celtic got dembele for 400k when Fulham wanted £10m

You can almost feel the sense of fear in this comment.
WBA and Burnley need to pull their fingers out. The tribunal fee will end up being good value for this guy anyway.

This fan just wants rid by the looks of it.
