New head coach/manager in place, check. Transfer activity starting to drip through, check. Preseason organised, che…actually hold that thought.
The venue of the preseason is known (see tweet – below), it’s Austria. The dates and duration are known, 14 to 21 July – so a week. Both opponents were known, in that Leeds would face games against German 1.Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach and Spanish La Liga side Celta de Vigo.

However, as Yorkshire Evening Post reporter Phil Hay points out, Spaniards Celta Vigo have pulled out, this leaving the Whites one opponent short for their mini-tour.
Monchengladbach should be one. Other still unconfirmed. Previous opponents changed their plans.

With no preseason plans yet released by Leeds United, the chance to play high-tier opponents such as possibly Borussia Monchengladbach plus one TBC will give Whites fans the opportunity to see their new side properly tested.
The ‘away’ tour is usually then followed by a last home fixture before the season begins in earnest, Leeds facing an away trip to Bolton on August 6th. Last season’s opponents in the final preseason game at Elland Road were Serie A side Atalanta, the season before that Everton sending a squad over from Merseyside.
With things starting to firm up and fall in to place at Elland Road, then perhaps it will be the turn of preseason plans to be the next thing confirmed, after the expected arrival of Poland international midfielder Mateusz Klich that is.
Can Leeds United fans dare to dream that other arrivals may be just around the corner?
What about the possibility of an Elland Road buyback, or is that really too much to ask for in a more than interesting June?
