Leeds United unveiled Thomas Christiansen today to the waiting press, streaming the event live over Facebook.

The press got to ask their questions of the man in charge, with many taking the opportunity to do so. To his credit Christiansen fielded the questions relatively well in English, this being essentially his third language behind Danish and Spanish.

One of the situations that was cleared up was the one regarding the current remnants of Garry Monk’s old staff at Elland Road. This became apparent with the following tweets from Phil Hay who was at the presser and unveiling.

Whilst these three additions are not unexpected, new coaches always bring in their own staff, it does indicate that there is a final nail being driven into the coffin of what is left of Garry Monk at Elland Road. This was confirmed by another tweet from Hay.

Leeds United fans had a lot of time for the abovementioned trio, even more so after Garry Monk had left. Particular affection was felt for Monk’s former assistant Pep Clotet, with the Spaniard even being see as a bookie’s favourite for the Elland Road job at one point.

With news coming out, it is obvious that Leeds United fans would take to Twitter to let people know exactly how they feel over the more recent turn of events.

However, whichever way Leeds United fans look at it, it is time to get behind the team and the new regime at Elland Road.
