Bolton Wanderers have signed Mark Little from Bristol City on a free transfer as confirmed by the club website.
The 28-year-old defender, who can also play in midfield, was part of the Robins team that got promoted to the Sky Bet Championship by coming the champions of Sky Bet League One and got over the mythical 100 points mark. He has also been a key player for the club as they’ve established themselves in the second tier in the last couple of years.
But Little was released this summer at the end of his contract and needed to find a new club. Luckily he was able to find one very quickly as he has now penned a two-year deal with Bolton who are in a similar position to what Bristol City was. They were just promoted from League One and will be looking to establish themselves as a force in the league and Little will be hoping to do that with them in his first season with the club.
After signing he said: “It feels amazing to be here. It has all happened quite quickly, but I’m thrilled to be on board.”
“I’ve been speaking with the manager over the past week or so and I’m really impressed with what I’ve heard so far and I know we’ll have a great relationship when pre-season gets underway.”
“I’m capable of playing either wing-back or right back and I’m known for running up and down the flanks, so hopefully I’ll be able to wear the Macron pitch out a little bit!”
“I’ve had success in my career to date too, so if I can enjoy some during my time at Bolton Wanderers, then I’ll be very happy here.”
