Hull City are understood to be keen on Real Zaragoza striker Angel Rodriguez, according to Get West London.

The Tigers are one of several Championship clubs chasing the 30-year old’s signature, with QPR, Aston Villa and Reading also said to be keen. The Spaniard has represented clubs such as Tenerife, Real Madrid B, Elche, Levante and Eibar in a career which began over ten seasons ago. He has been heavily linked with his first move away from Spain this summer and the Championship is said to be his most likely destination, possibly Hull.

Angel bagged 21 goals in 39 games for the Segunda Divisions side in the 2016/17 season, finishing as the league’s 3rd top scorer, and is in hot demand given the club’s disappointing 13th place finish, just 3 points above the relegation zone.

Bagging almost half of the clubs goals last season, Angel has previously played for Tenerife, Real Madrid B, Elche, Levante and Eibar. The forward is free to leave the club given the expiry of his contract at the end of the season.

Hull City are unlikely to complete any transfers however until they appoint their new manager following the departure of Marco Silva last month. Former Russian national coach Leonid Slutsky is said to be in the poll position.

But strikers will likely be a position that the club will want to strengthen ahead of their Championship campaign, with forwards Abel Hernandez, Sam Clucas and Kamil Grosicki all being linked with moves away from the Tigers, with loan strikers Oumar Niasse and Diurmerci Mobokani returning to their parent clubs.
