Sky Bet Championship side Leeds United have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Polish midfielder Mateusz Klich.
Klich is currently plying his trade with Dutch side FC Twente, and has been linked with a move to England to join the Whites.
And earlier this week, Leeds United received a boost as they attempt to secure the signature of the 26 year old.
FC Twente confirmed on their website that they had signed 18 year old midfielder Alexander Laukart.
The young midfielder joined from Borussia Dortmund, and is expected to go straight into the first team of the Eredivise side following impressive performances for the Dortmund youth side.
This would put Mateusz Klich out of the starting XI, meaning that a move away from the club could very much be on the cards.
Klich is unlikely to want to wait around for first team football. Being just 26, he is in the prime of his career, and will want to make the most of it.
As it stands, Leeds United’s interest in Klich is just rumours, but some reports have suggested that a bid has been made by the Sky Bet Championship club.
Klich would be ideal for Leeds United, bringing experience to their midfield.
He played 29 times for FC Twente this season, scoring six goals.
On top of his club experiences, he is an experienced international.
Since making his debut for Poland in 2011, he has appeared 10 times for his native side.
He scored his first and only international goal in 2013 against Denmark.
