Five Leeds United targets the club should make sure they sign

3) Ollie Watkins – Exeter City: Ollie Watkins has been linked with Leeds United more than any other player this summer. The talented youngster helped Exeter City to reach the Sky Bet League Two Play-Offs, and was voted as the EFL young player of the year after an excellent season. His performances have led to interest from a number of Championship clubs, with Leeds United at the front of that list. Their previous signing from the fourth tier did not work out as well as they planned, but Ollie Watkins has the potential to go on and achieve big things. Signing him and securing his future could help Leeds United achieve their goals, not just this season, but for the foreseeable future.

4) Mateusz Klich – FC Twente: Leeds United were handed a boost the other day when FC Twente signed a young midfielder from Borussia Dortmund, paving the way for their target Mateusz Klich to leave the club. Klich has been capped 10 times by his native Poland and is an extremely experienced central midfielder. He could be exactly what Leeds United need to sturdy up their midfield slightly. He would also bring goals from the midfield, something which the Yorkshire Club were lacking this year.

5) Marcus Maddison – Peterborough United: Marcus Maddison is a long time target of Leeds United. The talented winger has shone for Sky Bet League One side Peterborough United over the last few seasons, and is rumoured to be wanting a move to the second tier. He has currently been placed on the transfer list, as per the protocol at Peterborough for players heading into the last year of their contract. Maddison created 19 goals last season, scoring 13 in what was a pretty disappointing season for the Posh, as they finished 11th in Sky Bet League One. Maddison could help Leeds by providing goals and assists, that could help them push on further than this season.
