UPDATE: Five current favourites for Leeds United job

3) Juande Ramos – 5/1: Former Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur manager Juande Ramos has only emerged as a candidate for the Leeds United job in recent days, but he is in at 5/1 to take the helm at Elland Road. Ramos has a decorated career as a manager, and is extremely experienced. He has managed at a number of top flight clubs, including Spurs, Real Madrid, Malaga and Sevilla. Whether or not he would be interested in managing in the second tier in England remains to be seen, but he could be the perfect man to take Leeds back to the top flight.

2) Claudio Ranieri – 7/2: Claudio Ranieri is the most well known name on this list, and is currently the second favourite to take the helm at Leeds United. The Italian manager has travelled all around Europe at manager, but his greatest accomplishment came during his time at Leicester. At odds of 5000/1, Ranieri led Leicester City from the brink of relegation to the Premier League title in just one season. The Italian manager also has experience at Chelsea in the top flight, and could be exactly what the Whites need to help them return to the Premier League.

1) Pep Clotet: 5/4: Barcelona born Pep Clotet is the new favourite to take charge at Leeds United. He has spent the last season as the number two at Elland Road, assisting Garry Monk before he eventually resigned. Clotet had previously worked at Swansea, where he was originally an academy consultant during Michael Laudrup’s time there, before being appointed assistant manager when Monk took charge. Rumours suggest he was offered the job at Sky Bet Championship side Brentford during his time at Swansea, but turned it down due to his loyalty to Monk. This would be supported by the fact that he resigned from Swansea when Monk was sacked, and then followed the manager to Leeds United in June last year.
