Nobody knows what will happen next season at Elland Road.
The Sky Bet Championship season finished less than a month ago, and already Leeds United have lost their manager, been the subject of a takeover, and appointed a new director of football.
And it is their new director of football that could hold the key to any future transfers at the club.
Victor Orta is the new man at the helm at Elland Road, and the experienced Spaniard is very experienced when it comes to football.
He has been at a number of different clubs across Europe, meaning he has worked with a number of players.
And one potential transfer listed player who he could attempt to sign for Leeds United is Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic, as reported by Leeds United fan site ‘ThroughItAllTogether’.
The young Croatian midfielder joined Chelsea in 2014 for a fee believed to be in the region of £3million.
Pasalic was loaned to Elche in 2014/15, during Orta’s spell at the Spanish club.
The pair had a good relationship, and Pasalic is available this summer as Chelsea attempt to offload some of their unused players.
The 22 year old has not played a single game for the Premier League champions, and instead has been loaned out to European clubs such as AC Milan and AS Monaco.
Pasalic may be loaned out by Chelsea if a permanent deal cannot be agreed, and Leeds could be the ideal destination.
The history that the midfielder has with Victor Orta could stand the Yorkshire club in good stead if they were to attempt to buy him.
And they would be wise to. Pasalic is an extremely talented midfielder, who has already been capped twice by Croatia.
