Hull City winger Kamil Grosicki is set to be a key transfer target for Championship winners Newcastle United.
According to Polish news outlet Sportowefakty, the 28-year-old has a relegation clause in his contract that the Magpies are interested in activating.
Grosicki only joined the Tigers in January, but he has been a key player for them in their attempts to survive in the Premier League. He has featured 15 times in the league for Hull since making his début against Liverpool in February.
Despite the club’s eventual relegation, the Polish international was named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month for April following three assists in six matches.
Grosicki spent the first half of this season playing for French side Rennes, scoring four goals and creating three more in 16 appearances in this campaign for them.
Newcastle fans have been reacting to the news and a lot supporters feel that he would be a great addition to the squad.
Grosicki would be a very nice piece of business for £3 million. An improvement on Gouffran #NUFC

Grosicki is a good back up player. Excellent for 35min in every game. Not 1st team player for sure!

He's a brilliant man and a gifted footballer. However, I'm not sure whether he suits PL. I watched all his games for Hull. Hoped for more

Rafa Benitez does face competition from Premier League side Watford. They recently appointed former Hull boss Marco Silva as their new manager; the man who bought Grosicki to England.
The winger is an experienced international, having already made 49 caps for his native Poland and scoring nine goals for them. He has represented them in the last two European Championships in 2012 and 2016.
If the relegation clause is in his contract, he would be available for a cut price rumoured to be around £3 million.
If Pole Grosicki does sign for Newcastle, he would become their second signing of this window, having already made Christian Atsu’s loan move permanent.
