Five Leeds United players featuring in international squads

Following the Sky Bet Championship Play-Off final today (May 29), the domestic season is officially over.

However, a number of players are not going to get much of a break, as they will be heading off to join up with their international squads.

Leeds United will have five representatives during the international break. These five players are Eunan O’Kane, Chris Wood, Pontus Jansson,Stuart Dallas and Ronaldo Vieira.

O’Kane will be involved in the Republic of Ireland despite being involved in a minor car crash yesterday. It has been since been confirmed that O’Kane has returned to the team hotel and is well.

Republic of Ireland will face Mexico and Uruguay in friendly matches.

Chris Wood has been called up and named as captain of the New Zealand squad. The Kiwis will face Northern Ireland, which could potentially see would come up against Leeds United team mate Stuart Dallas. Wood then takes his team to play Belarus, before the start of their confederations cup campaign.

As well as facing New Zealand, Stuart Dallas and Northern Ireland travel to Azerbaijan for a World Cup qualifier.

Pontus Jansson will join his Sweden team in France for a World Cup qualifier, before a friendly match against rivals Norway.

Ronaldo Vieira is currently playing with the England U20 squad. Their Toulon tournament campaign began on Monday with a match against Angola.
