Chelsea starlet hints at potential Newcastle United loan move

Newcastle United target Michy Batshuayi has suggested that he would accept a loan move away from Stamford Bridge next season.

The 23-year-old Belgium striker scored the title-winning goal for the Blues away to West Bromwich Albion, as Chelsea won the Barclays Premier League this season, but the former Marseille and Standard Liege front-man has hinted that we would be open to a loan switch.

After joining the London club in a deal worth £33m in the summer of 2016 the Blues striker could be looking for a loan move with Diego Costa currently being the number-one striker at Stamford Bridge after just one start.

Sky Bet Championship side Newcastle will have to battle out with French giants Monaco and West Ham United for the Belgium international’s signature, with all three clubs having interest in the striker.

Speaking in an interview Belgian publication Het Niewsblad ahead of the FA Cup Final, Batshuayi said: “Honestly, I’m not trying to think too much [about my future].

“We still have a match and I’m trying 200 per cent.

“After that it will be up to the board and the coach to make a decision.

“I’m a player and I’ll go wherever Chelsea sends me.”

Current Chelsea front-man Diego Costa has been heavily linked to a move to China, whilst Romelu Lukaku is a target for Antonio Conte.

Therefore, Newcastle may be a viable option for the Italian manager to choose should he want a loan spell for Batshuayi to embark on in order to develop as a player.
