Leeds United’s Ronaldo Vieira has signed a new long term contract at Elland Road.
The club announced the news on their official website shortly after 16:30 (May 24).
The talented young midfielder has agreed a new four year deal, which will see him stay at the club until the end of 2020/21.
The 18 year old has been impressive throughout the season for Leeds United. He made his debut for the club in the final game of the 2015/16 season away at Preston North End.
It has been an excellent few weeks for the youngster, who has recently received his first international call-up.
Vieira will join up with the England U20 squad in the off season and partake in the famous Toulon tournament.
The midfielder made 38 appearances in all competitions for the Yorkshire club last season, as the Whites ended up finishing in seventh place in the Sky Bet Championship.
Ronaldo Vieira, who’s brother is also at the club, went on to win the young player of the year award at the club’s end of season awards night.
His first goal for the club came back in November, when he scored what turned out to be the winning goal in a 3-2 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road.
He also buried the winning penalty in the EFL Cup victory over the same time, helping Leeds reach the quarter final of the competition, when they were beaten by Liverpool at Anfield.
