According to reports in the Sun, Tottenham Hotspurs are set to submit a bid of £12 million for Fulham’s 17 year old wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon.
The North London club want to secure the signature of the young left sided player before Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester City swoop in.
Spurs showed an interest in Sessegnon back in January, but it is believed chairman Daniel Levy has been so impressed with him that they are willing to pay Fulham £12 million for his services.
Ryan Sessegnon has been dubbed as “the new Gareth Bale.” He is originally a left back, but has the potential to push on further up the field, much like the Welshman, who moved to Real Madrid from Spurs for a then world record fee.
Spurs transformed Bale into a world class talent, and they feel that they can do the same with Sessegnon.
The side who finished second in the top flight are believed to be Sessegnon’s preferred destination, as he feels that he would not be able to get enough first team football if he were to go to either Liverpool or Manchester City.
The latest reports have also suggested that Spurs have received a huge boost in their pursuit of the youngster. It is believed that Ryan Sessegnon is about to move to the same agency as Premier League top goal scorer Harry Kane, who is of course on the books at Tottenham.
