Fans of Sky Bet Championship club Nottingham Forest have purchased season tickets for the new season at a rapid rate with sales already reaching the 1,000 mark according to the Nottingham Post.

New Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis made the popular decision to reduce season ticket prices for next season by 10% across the board and fans have responded very positively to the new pricing structure by securing their seats in their numbers.

It has been reported that The Reds have sold over 1,000 season tickets in the first day of sales, taking Forest 10% of the time which it took last season to reach the same landmark.

Fans are expected to continue to hurry to secure their places for next season in the hope of seeing their side enjoy a much more fruitful campaign in the Sky Bet Championship and the final season ticket sales figure could yet reach its highest level since the club played in the Premier League in 1999.

Recent memories have been dark ones for Forest’s long suffering fans but the noises being made by new owner Marinakis in the first few days at The City Ground have been much welcomed and for the first time in several years, The Reds fans could finally have something to look forward to.
