Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Sharp is the 3rd  best player in the Football League.

Billy Sharp has had an exceptional season this year for Sheffield United. The Yorkshire club’s captain helped lead his side to the Sky Bet League One title this season, meaning next campaign they will be playing football in the second tier. Sharp has appeared in 46 games this season, and has not missed a single match. In these 46 games, he has found the back of the net an impressive 30 times. To add to that, he has set up eight goals for his team mates. He’s always been reliable, and whenever Sheffield United have needed a goal, Sharp has popped up. He deservedly lifted the Sky Bet League One trophy in their final match of the season at home to Chesterfield, and Sharp will be hungry to enjoy more success at the club in the Championship next season.

The striker moved to Sheffield United from Yorkshire rivals Leeds United in 2015, and has fitted in perfectly at the club where his career began. Sharp will be looking forward to leading his side out in the second tier of English football next season.
