Huddersfield Town midfielder Aaron Mooy has been voted by you as the 9th best player in the EFL.
Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Mooy is the 9th best player in the Football League.
Mooy was originally seen as one of the weirdest signings that Manchester City ever made. They brought him in from their feeder club Melbourne City, which is standard practice, but what was odd was that he was aged 26-years-old, suggesting there wasn’t much more room for him to get better and be a first teamer for one of the best teams in the country.
So Mooy was sent out on loan to Huddersfield for the season and soon it made sense why Manchester City made the effort to get him move across the world. He was often the best player on the pitch he was playing and he is one of the main reasons why the Terriers will be competing in the Sky Bet Championship play-off final later this month. He would control the game from midfield and that allowed Huddersfield’s quick players on the wing to damage teams.
Mooy’s season is not over yet as he has still got one more game to play, the aforementioned play-off final against Reading, but after that he will head back to Manchester City and decide on his next move now that many teams have started to become interested in him.
