Twitter reacts to Leeds United’s price tag for Chris Wood

Yesterday, the72 reported that the Sky Bet Championship golden boot winner was the subject of interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Leeds United striker Chris Wood has been linked with a move to top flight sides such as Southampton and West Ham United, after an impressive season saw him finish as the top goal scorer in the Championship, despite Leeds’ disappointment at finishing in seventh place.

Of course there is a lot of money in football nowadays, especially in the top flight. But even so, is £20 million for Chris Wood too much?

We take a look at Twitter to see how football fans have reacted to the price tag for the New Zealand striker:

This Leeds United fan expects bids to be made for Chris Wood, but is confident that the striker will remain at Elland Road.

It is fair to say that the £20 million price tag has certainly shocked this fan.

Even as a Leeds United fan, this supporter acknowledges that maybe Wood for “20 million is not the best deal for a Premier League club.

This supporter would not be happy if his club spent £20 million on the Leeds and New Zealand striker.

Last summer it was Olympique Lyonnais striker Alexandre Lacazette, this season it is Leeds United’s Chris Wood. It’s safe to say West Ham United fans are not entirely happy with the rumours.

This Leeds United fan does not care about the price, he doesn’t want to see Wood leave Elland Road this summer.
