It has been confirmed this week that Bristol City will be letting Mark Little go when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Of course, this means that he will be a free agent, and he has already been linked with a number of clubs since the announcement.

One of the clubs that he has been linked with is Peterborough United. Mark Little enjoyed several successful years at the Posh, helping them to promotion from Sky Bet League One in 2011, as well as playing a key role in the Johnstone’s Paint trophy victory over Chesterfield at Wembley in 2014.

He left later that season to join Bristol City, and has been a prominent figure in their defence ever since.

His wages may be a bit more than Darragh MacAnthony is willing to pay, but could a deal be sorted out that would see Little return to the ABAX Stadium?

Many Posh fans believe that Grant McCann will be playing with wing backs next season, after he experimented with the system towards the back end of the last campaign.

With vice captain Michael Smith having been transfer listed and Hayden White sold to Mansfield Town today, the right side of defence is somewhere that Posh are lacking, and Little would fit the bill perfectly.

It may just be a small survey, but in an ongoing vote on Twitter, a whopping 84% of people that voted have said that they would like to see Mark Little return to Peterborough United.

This Posh fan feels that there would be scenes if he was to rejoin the club.
