Hayden White has joined Mansfield Town from Peterborough United for an undisclosed fee.
The full back spent the second half of the season on loan at the Sky Bet League Two club, and has today (May 18) made his move to the Stags permanent.
White follows Lee Angol, who also made the move from Peterborough United to Mansfield Town today.
Hayden White joined Peterborough United on a free transfer from Bolton Wanderers after his contract at the Macron Stadium expired.
However, he struggled to make any real impact at the ABAX Stadium.
He appeared just nine times in a Peterborough United shirt, failing to score in the right end, but netting one own goal, which came in Posh’s 3-1 home victory over Bury.
His fortunes were different during us time under Steve Evans at Mansfield Town however.
He appeared 18 times for the Stags, scoring one time, this time in the right end.
Mansfield narrowly missed out on the Play-Offs, but the signings of Lee Angol and Hayden White today show real intent.
Recent weeks have seen the Stags turn down approaches from recently relegated Swindon Town for their manager Steve Evans, and they have real aspirations of achieving something special in Sky Bet League Two next season.
Hayden White said that he was thrilled to return to Mansfield on a more permanent deal. He took to Twitter not long after the transfer was confirmed to share this message with Stags fans.
