Derby County winger Tom Ince has been voted by you as the 21st best player in the EFL.
Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Ince is the 21st best player in the Football League.
Ince has got a big reputation thanks to his performances in the Sky Bet Championship over the last few years, though due to a few spells in the Premier League which haven’t worked out, the buzz has started to die down. However now that he is at Derby, he is getting back to the form that made him one of the hottest names in the country for a while and showing why so many people thought that he was an England international in the making.
While the 25-year-old winger struggled to make an impact early on in the season when Nigel Pearson was the head coach, the manager change worked out great for him as he soon became a devastating player under Steve McClaren. Even when the manager changed again, this time with Gary Rowett coming in, he continued to be a terror to full-backs across the league and would eventually finish the season with 15 goals, an impressive tally for someone who isn’t a striker.
After a disappointing season for Derby, Ince will be hoping to spearhead an improved year next time around when they will challenge for a place in the play-offs.
