Bradford City striker Charlie Wyke has been voted by you as the 23rd best player in the EFL.
Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Wyke is the 23rd best player in the Football League.
Wyke started the season off with Carlisle United and soon showed himself to be one of the best players in Sky Bet League Two. He was quite simply a goal machine and scored 18 goals in the first half of the season and he showed no signs of stopping. However that form would be noticed and soon Wyke would be jumping up a league and playing for Bradford as they chased promotion from Sky Bet League One.
You’d expect Wyke to take some time to adjust to a new league after spending a while in League One, but he showed that he would be taking no time to become a threat when he scored on his debut against Gillingham, helping the Bantams to claim a 2-2 draw. While he wouldn’t be in the same goalscoring form he was back in League Two, he’d still be a pain for any defence to deal with and would end the season by scoring seven goals for Bradford.
But the season is not over for Wyke. He will be leading the line for Bradford as they face Millwall in the play-off final, a rematch of last year’s semi-final.
