Huddersfield Town boss ready to tame Hillsborough crowd

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner is hoping his side can tame the Hillsborough crowd when they face Sheffield Wednesday in the Second Leg of their Sky Bet Championship Play-Off Semi-Final according to the Sheffield Star.

The two sides played out a goalless bore draw at The John Smith’s Stadium in the First Leg at the weekend and The Owls arguably hold an advantage going into the return match with Carlos Carvalhal’s men set to be backed by a sell-out crowd in South Yorkshire.

Ahead of the match, Huddersfield Town boss Wagner has revealed that quietening the crowd could be the key to his side’s success as The Terriers look to erase memories of their previous 2-0 defeat at Hillsborough in the regular season fixture back in January.

Wednesday go into the match on the back of three victories from their last four home fixtures however The Owls have lost on home soil to Play-Off rivals Reading and Fulham this season. Huddersfield Town finished below Wednesday in the league table on goal difference and Wagner’s men have failed to win any of their last three matches.

The First Leg was far from a classic but the Second Leg will surely be a more exciting affair as both clubs fight for a place at Wembley.
