Top 50 Players of the EFL – 28th: Lee Gregory (Millwall)

Millwall striker Lee Gregory has been voted by you as the 28th best player in the EFL.

Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Gregory is the 28th best player in the Football League.

Lee Gregory becomes the second Millwall striker to make our list, joining us strike partner Steve Morison, who came in at 38th place. Together, the pair have led Millwall back to Wembley, in what will be their second successive Sky Bet League One Play-Off final, having lost last time round to Barnsley. Lee Gregory has played 37 times for his side in the league, scoring an impressive 17 goals. As well as this, he has set up an extra five for his team mates. He also scored a goal in the second leg of the Play-Off semi final win at Scunthorpe, which ultimately turned out to be the winning goal to help Millwall back to Wembley.

Lee Gregory has been at Millwall since 2014, when he joined the club from Halifax Town. Rumours appeared last summer linked Gregory with a move to a Sky Bet Championship club, but he put those rumours to bed when he signed a new contract in September 2016. This new deal will keep him at the club until the summer of 2018.

Gregory will be hoping to keep up his excellent form in the Play-Off final on Saturday, as Millwall bid to make it second time lucky at Wembley.
