Norwich City interested in Lincoln City management duo

Lincoln City pair Danny and Nicky Cowley have been linked with a move to Sky Bet Championship side Norwich City, according to LincolnshireLive.

The Canaries are currently without a manager, but hope to appoint one in the coming weeks ahead of a busy summer in East Anglia.

And the Cowley brothers have emerged as their latest targets, following an excellent season with Lincoln City in the National League.

The pair led Lincoln back to the English Football League, winning the National League in emphatic style.

They also led the Imps to the FA Cup Quarter final, where they travelled to the Emirates Stadium to face Premier League giants Arsenal.

In doing so, they became the first Non League club in over 100 years to reach this stage of the competition.

Just a year ago, the pair were part time managers of Braintree Town, and enjoyed a role at PE teachers at a school in Essex alongside this.

But now they have captured the attention of several Football League clubs.

They have previously been linked with roles at Grimsby Town and Notts County, but turned down both offers.

It is unknown whether a move to Carrow Road is something that they would consider, but it would surely be tempting to show what they can do at a much higher level.

Norwich City sacked Alex Neil back in March, before placing Alan Irvine in temporary charge.

It was agreed that Irvine would keep the job until the summer, when the Norwich hierarchy would begin the search for a permanent manager.
