Top 50 Players of the EFL – 32nd: Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham)

Fulham youngster Ryan Sessegnon has been voted by you as the 32nd best player in the EFL.

Over the last month, we have been gathering votes from you to find the best managers and players in the EFL. And after counting the votes, we have discovered you think that Sessegnon is the 32nd best player in the Football League.
It is not often that a 16 year old sets the Sky Bet Championship alight, but this season, Ryan Sessegnon has certainly done that. The youngster has caught the attention of a number of top flight clubs, including the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal with his excellent performances this season. He has been tipped for big things by several of his team mates, with one of them even describing him as “the future of England.” Watching the maturity he plays with, it is difficult to believe how young he is. He turns 17 in the coming weeks. Predominantly, he is a left back, but has been compared to Real Madrid and Wales star Gareth Bale with his attacking prowess. He’s already featured for his country’s youth, appearing seven times for England U19s. In the 25 Sky Bet Championship games he’s played, Sessegnon has scored five goals and assisted three. These stats may not seem particularly impressive, but it’s the effort and work rate he puts in week in week out that has helped him stand out.
Ryan Sessegnon is currently trying to help Fulham make a return to the Premier League. The first leg of their Play-Off Semi Final with Reading ended 1-1, with the second leg taking place tomorrow (May 16)
