Earlier this evening (May 12,) we reported that Jermaine Beckford had joined Sky Bet League One side Bury on a free transfer.

The striker is a proven goal scorer, and Bury fans will be hoping he can form a partnership with veteran striker James Vaughan, as the club aim to improve on last season’s poor performance, which saw them caught up in a relegation battle.

Football fans have taken to Twitter to share their feelings on Beckford joining Bury:

Many League One supporters feel that Beckford and Vaughan will be a dangerous partnership in the league next season, and this fan is no different.

This guy thinks that it’s a decent signing for the League One club.

This football fan has gone one step further, and described it as an incredible signing for the Shakers.

Bury fans originally feared that he was a replacement for James Vaughan, but manager Lee Clark has confirmed that the two will play up front together.

It’s fair to say that this supporter is jealous of the strike partnership that Bury will have for the start of the Sky Bet League One season.

This fan was having a joke at Beckford’s expense, but to be fair he has got a point…
