Brighton and Hove Albion plot swoop for rival striker

Brighton and Hove Albion are planning to make a swoop to sign Frazier Campbell from rivals Crystal Palace according to a report from Sky Sports.

The Seagulls were recently promoted to the Premier League for the first time since the rebrand back in the early 90s and they will get to reignite their rivalry with Palace in the top tier of English football for the first time in their history. And the hatred between the two sides has started all ready with both teams looking to sign players from each side. There were reports that Palace were looking to sign David Stockdale from Brighton earlier in the week and now it seems the south coast club are trying to sign someone from Palace.

This report suggests that Brighton are looking to snap up Frazier Campbell. He has struggled to break into the Palace first team this year, only making 11 appearances for the south London club. And it seems like his time at Selhurst Park is coming to an end as his contract is set to expire in the summer and it isn’t likely that Palace will look to extend his contract considering his lack of playing time this year.

And with Brighton looking to sign players who are experienced in the Premier League now that they have finally got promoted, they believe that Campbell would be a useful addition to their squad. However he is just one of a number of players they are considering and may not make a move to sign him in the end.
