Gaetano Berardi – 7.01
Many Leeds fans may be surprised to see Berardi is the club’s fifth best performer this season, as he did not start the season as a regular starter. Charlie Taylor began the season as Leeds’ first-choice left-back with Luke Ayling at right-back, leaving Berardi on the bench. However after Taylor suffered an injury in December, the Swiss defender stepped up with some impressive performances.
Berardi is popular with Leeds fans for the passion he shows during games and he was no different this season. The defender made a total of 26 Championship appearances for his club, turning out to be a solid replacement for Taylor at left-back. Berardi was so impressive, that Taylor failed to properly regain his spot in the Leeds team after his comeback from injury.
