Leeds United unlikely to sign Hadi Sacko permanently

It was only yesterday (May 8) that Hadi Sacko posted a heartfelt message to Leeds United fans, saying that he didn’t know whether it was “goodbye and see you soon” or “goodbye forever.”

But today, a Portuguese media outlet has claimed that it’s goodbye forever, and that Leeds United will not sign the young Frenchman on a permanent deal.

‘Record’ have reported that “Leeds are unlikely to trigger a permanent deal for the 23-year-old, who has enjoyed a season long loan at Elland Road.

Leeds United fans are bound to be disappointed at this news. Many of them sent messages of thanks and good luck to Sacko last night(May 8), but several supporters pleaded with the winger to remain at the club.

Sacko featured 38 times in the Sky Bet Championship for Leeds United, scoring twice and assisting his team mates three times, but it was his work rate that got Whites fans on his side.

He joined the Yorkshire club on loan last summer, and was quoted throughout the year saying that he felt at home at Leeds.

The report from Portuguese media outlet Record states that several clubs have shown an interest in buying Sacko once he’s returned to his parent club Sporting Lisbon, but reiterates that Leeds United haven’t shown any interest in completing a permanent deal.

The talented youngster joined Sporting Lisbon from French Ligue 1 side Bordeaux for £850,000 but has struggled to make a breakthrough at the Portuguese club.
