Fans of Sky Bet Championship club Ipswich Town have demanded manager Mick McCarthy’s sacking after their side’s 3-0 loss against Nottingham Forest at The City Ground.
Despite a good first half showing in which they were unlucky to trail to Britt Assombalonga’s penalty kick late in the half, The Tractor Boys crumbled in the second period and conceded two further goals as they offered little in attack.
The result sees McCarthy’s men finish the season in 16th position in the table with just 55 points and after the match fans took to Twitter to demand a change in management.
Finishing 4 points above th relegation zone is not my idea of progress. Love you for what you've done Mick but let's have a change #ITFC

#itfc change needed, ideally funds, if not new direction/management/ownership. No change 17/18 and result will be even worse than this year

New management required from top down. Disgraceful season. Disgraceful attitude towards fans. Hapless squad. #ITFC #mickout #evansout

Ipswich Town fans will hope that 2017/2018 will bring more hope however the club look to need fresh investment and potentially a new management structure to move forward.
