After the final whistle blew this evening at Fratton Park, Portsmouth concluded their season as the champions of Sky Bet League Two, which marks a deserved end to an inspiring season. New prospective owner, Michael Eisner congratulated the club on Twitter.
Former Disney CEO, Michael Eisner, was at Fratton Park today, whereby he potentially witnessed his future club put six past Cheltenham Town, and lift up the Sky Bet League Two trophy as champions.
After the game, the prospective owner took to Twitter to congratulate Portsmouth on a fantastic season, and the emphatic result for the final game of the 2016/17 campaign.

The Pompey Trust, which is the controlling stakeholder of Portsmouth Football Club are currently in the process of initiating a vote among its 2,750 controlling members who all hold a stake in the club. The vote will decide whether or not the club will be sold to the former Disney executive. The vote must reach 75% in agreement in order for the purchase to be finalised and approved, as the trust will vote as a single block in favour or disdain.
Mr. Eisner has spent the last couple of weeks around the city of Portsmouth, where the club is at the heart of the area, speaking to fans, describing his vision, ambitions, and desire for the club, as well as taking questions and challenges from audiences. After the turbulent history at Portsmouth, the fans are naturally cautious of losing their fan ownership, which in the last few years has allowed to them rebuild and begin a path upwards to success.
Pompey fans respond to the congratulations message from their new prospective owner, who could be confirmed within the next few weeks as taking over the club in time for their upcoming Sky Bet League One 2017/18 campaign.
@Michael_Eisner @officialpompey YES!!!! 🏆 #Pompey #Amazing #PUP
That’s payment for sitting through all those relegations & suffering terrible owners who fleeced our club.
