Towering Bristol City centre-back Aden Flint is understood to be a summer target for Premier League clubs West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United according to the Bristol Post.

The 27-year-old Pinxton born defender has been a revelation for The Robins since joining the club for a transfer fee of just £300,000 from Swindon Town almost four years ago.

A number of Premier League scouts have been down to Ashton Gate to watch the player in action in recent months and it has been reported that West Bromwich Albion and West Ham United will look to sign the defender in the summer.

Flint has three years remaining on his current deal with The Robins however it is thought that the defender could be allowed to leave the Sky Bet Championship club if a deal is right for both the club and player.

The giant defender started his career in non league football with Alfreton Town before signing for Swindon Town who he later helped to the Sky Bet League Two title.

Since joining Bristol City in 2013, the player has gone on to become a fans’ favourite at Ashton Gate and has made 199 appearances for the club, scoring an impressive 29 goals including a hat-trick in an 8-2 demolition of Walsall in the 2014/2015 Sky Bet League One and Football League Trophy double winning season.
