On Friday afternoon, Northampton Town announced that they have signed released MK Dons player, Daniel Powell, on a free transfer, according to the official club’s website. Northampton Town fans have taken to Twitter to react to the new signing.
t was announced in April that Milton Keynes’ Dons would release Daniel Powell at the end of the season, which concluded last weekend.
The Cobblers have made a swift piece of business of securing the signature of Powell on a two-year deal which will finalise as soon as the transfer window opens on the 1st of July, and did not cost the East Midlands side any initial transfer fund.
Powell made over 250 appearances for MK Dons, scoring a total of 46 goals at the Buckinghamshire outfit. The 26-year-old is known for his impressive pace as a winger and ability to run at the opposition.
