Bristol City manager Lee Johnson could consider a loan move for another Premier League talent next season following the success of on loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham during the current campaign according to the Bristol Post.
The 19-year-old Camberwell born hotshot has scored an impressive 26 goals in just 47 appearances during a season-long loan spell at Ashton Gate.
Abraham is set to either be offered an opportunity with parent club Chelsea next season or be sent out on loan to a Premier League club and it has been reported that Robins boss Johnson will look to replace the player with an overseas striker or another loan striker.
One man who Johnson could consider moving for is Chelsea striker Ike Ugbo. The FA Youth Cup winner has been a revelation for The Blues’ development squad this season and the player has taken a similar path through the club’s academy system as Abraham.
The 18-year-old hotshot is tipped for a bright future in the game and is set to be loaned out by Chelsea next season. Bristol City’s good treatment of Abraham has left a positive impression upon Chelsea and the club could look favourably upon sending fellow frontman Ugbo to Ashton Gate.
Abraham’s departure will leave a massive hole in Bristol City’s attack and it is vital that the club take their time to sign the right man to replace the youngster.
