Relegation threatened Sky Bet Championship club Nottingham Forest have agreed a significant sponsorship deal with current shirt sponsors 888sport according to the Nottingham Post.

The Gibraltar-based online betting firm have been working with The Reds since last summer and have provided a number of incentives to the club’s fans including free travel to midweek away fixtures, ticket and shirt giveaways and a range of once in a lifetime matchday opportunities.

With the partnership having blossomed in recent months, 888sport and Forest have negotiated a further one-year deal for next season which will see the club receive a significantly higher investment from their sponsors.

The English Football League have recently announced the launch of a new iFollow digital platform which will come into play from next season which allows overseas fans to subscribe to an online live match streaming service.  The new initiative will see the English Football League receive further worldwide coverage and those improvements have allowed Nottingham Forest to increase the fees payable from sponsors.

It is understood that the new sponsorship deal with 888sport will represent Forest’s biggest sponsorship deal in their history and the funds raised could be used to help manager Mark Warburton make some much needed changes to his squad over the summer.
