Clubs up and down the country are beginning to announce the players who will be leaving the club at the end of the season, and this morning is was the turn of Norwich City.
The Canaries confirmed that amongst the seven first team players leaving, was former England international John Ruddy.
Ruddy has been a big part of the squad at Carrow Road for several years now, and the news has been taken in different ways by the fans.
We took a look on Twitter to see what was being said about Ruddy’s departure:
This fan described Ruddy as a servant to the club, and certainly did not agree with the decision to let him leave.
Very mixed feelings about the #ncfc announcement. Don't agree with getting rid of Ruddy at all, he's been such a servant to the club 😕

This fan encouraged fellow supporters to give Ruddy a big send off this coming Sunday, when QPR travel to Carrow Road.
Surprised Ruddy being released. Been a big player for Norwich. Deserves a big send off on Sunday #ncfc

This fan is a big supporter of Ruddy, but feels that the time is right for him to say goodbye to the club.
I'll be sad to see Ruddy go, but the time is right. Not as good as he was & has been made to look foolish on a number of occasions #NCFC

This supporter is happy that the wage bill at Norwich will be nowhere near as high thanks to the players they are releasing.
Probably just shed our wage bill by nearly 200k a week with them lot out. #ncfc

Norwich must have another top class goalkeeper in mind according to this fan.
Blimey, surprised about Ruddy. They must have a helluva goalie in mind to replace him. #ncfc

This fan is devastated, and is certainly not happy with the goalkeepers left at the club.
Absolutely devastated. Yes he may not be the best keeper in the world but he's alot better than Rudd and McGovern. Oh John 😭😭 #ncfc

It appears that the majority of Norwich City fans are extremely shocked by the decision to release John Ruddy.
In a fair bit of shock that Norwich are letting Ruddy go, he's not as good as he used be but still an influential player #ncfc

Norwich City fans will be hoping that this fan is wrong, and there will be no regrets come the end of the season.
Can't believe we're releasing John Ruddy 😭 feel we could regret that! #ncfc
