Manga, Cardiff City set to lose defender to Turkish giants

Cardiff City set to lose defender to Turkish giants

Cardiff City’s Bruno Ecuele Manga is set to leave the club and join Galatasaray on a free transfer according to a report from Turkish publication Fotomac via Turkish Football.

The 28-year-old was a big signing for the Bluebirds just a few years ago as he was signed for a massive £5.3m from French side FC Lorient and looked set to be a key player for them. And while that was certainly the case for a while, it does appear that he is now on his way out of the Cardiff City Stadium as the club look to get rid of their higher earners to help ease the pressure on their budget, with the Gabon international being the perfect candidate to leave due to his contract expiring in the summer.

But Ecuele Manga will find a new home as he is already in discussions with one of the biggest clubs from Turkey, Galatasaray. This report suggests they are currently in talks and that he may soon be playing in the cauldron of sound that is the Turk Telecom Arena.

However, Galatasaray aren’t the only side interested in picking Ecuele Manga up on a free at the end of this season as this report goes on to say that several other top teams from Europe are also interested in the defender. It is currently unknown who these clubs are but they could all be stiff competition to Galatasaray as they look to strengthen their defence ready for next season.

Manga’s last game for Cardiff could be on Sunday against Huddersfield Town.
