Sheffield Wednesday fans set to enjoy bargain prices for play-off semi-finals

Sheffield Wednesday fans will only have to pay £20 to watch their Sky Bet Championship play-off semi-final fixture according to a statement from the club website.

The Owls sealed their place in the play-offs yesterday as Kieran Lee scored the only goal of the game against Ipswich Town. This also had the added benefit of making sure Yorkshire rivals Leeds United would not be making it into the top six.

But while fans are celebrating that they will once again be in the end of season lottery to get promoted to the Premier League, they will also be wanting to get to Hillsborough to cheer their players onto the final and Wembley once again. And they will be delighted to find out that just like last year, they will be able to get tickets on the cheap for the play-off semi-final at home.

Just like the play-off semi-final for last year’s match against Brighton and Hove Albion, fans will be able to get tickets for the big match for £20, with OAPs and U21s being priced at £15, U17s at £10 and U11s at £5. These are some of the lowest prices that the South Yorkshire side have offered all year and it is all with the aim of filling Hillsborough and creating a great atmosphere to help Wednesday get the win.

It isn’t known who Wednesday will be playing just yet as that will be finalised on the final day of fixtures next Sunday. The teams they could face though are Huddersfield Town, Reading and Fulham.
