Leeds United target admits he may be about to move

Stuttgart’s Alexandru Maxim has told German publication Stuttgarter Nachrichten that he may be about to leave his club, leading to speculation that long time admirers Leeds United may be about to make a move.

Reports that Maxim might head to West Yorkshire started last summer but continued throughout the year and increased during the January transfer window. However even with Leeds throwing their all at the Sky Bet Championship this year with them having their best chance ever to get promoted to the Premier League, Maxim stayed put with Stuttgart and stayed there for the entirety of the 2016/17 season.

But with the summer transfer window inching closer and closer, reports that Maxim could be set to leave Stuttgart may be about to re-emerge again and those rumours he could be heading to Elland Road are sure to re-emerge. And now Maxim has done plenty to make people he might be about to leave Germany and maybe even head to Leeds.

When asked about his future, he said: “I feel very much connected to the club and the city,”

“But what next year will be is still completely open at the moment.”

Whether Maxim moves to Leeds or not may depend on which league they are in. They have been involved in a battle for promotion but in recent weeks they have been on a poor run of form, leading them to drop out of the play-offs. However they can still break back into the top six in the final two games of the season.
